A loaded dump truck weighs 30,000–40,000 lbs — sound concrete and healthy asphalt handle it, but older blacktop and pavers can mark or rut. That's why the truck stays at the curb or on the driveway apron unless you ask for more.
Drop placement and surface risk
- Curbside or driveway (default): the standard drop, no paperwork
- Lawn or yard drops: by request with a customer waiver — wheels can rut soft ground
- Older or frost-softened asphalt: marks more easily in a mid-winter thaw; mention it at checkout and we'll keep the truck at the curb
Most customers simply take the curbside pile and wheelbarrow from there — the safest route for any surface. Placement details live on the delivery page, or call or text (617) 645-0987 about a fragile driveway.
