Shipping policy

At Ottr Landscape Supply, we aim to make your bulk material delivery as seamless and convenient as possible. Whether you're refreshing your landscape or tackling a larger project, we offer flexible delivery options to fit your schedule and site requirements.

Delivery Pricing

  • $100 per truckload for any delivery address within 30 driving miles of our yard at 18 Jan Karski Way, Boston, MA 02125 (Dorchester). This covers nearly all of Greater Boston — Suffolk, Middlesex and Norfolk Counties, southern Essex County, and most of Plymouth County.
  • $4.00 per mile beyond 30 driving miles, charged per truckload. This applies to outer Essex County, outer Plymouth County, Bristol County, Barnstable County (Cape Cod), and Worcester County.
  • The delivery fee is charged per truckload, not per order. Orders larger than one truckload are delivered in multiple loads, and each load carries its own delivery charge.
  • No minimum order. The same pricing applies whether you order one cubic yard or a full truck.

Truck Capacity & Material Quantities

  • No minimum order required — we are happy to deliver whether you need a small amount or a full load.
  • Truckload capacity: up to 10 cubic yards of mulch, or up to 6 cubic yards of rock, stone, gravel, soil, sand, and other dense materials. Dense materials are weight-limited rather than volume-limited, which is why the two figures differ.
  • All materials are delivered loose — not bagged — and unloaded from the rear of the dump truck.

Delivery Options & Scheduling

We offer same-day and next-day delivery based on order timing and availability. Delivery windows vary by day of the week:

  • Weekends fill up quickly, so we encourage customers to place weekend orders early to secure a preferred time slot.
  • Weekday deliveries generally have greater availability, with flexible scheduling throughout the day.

Once your order is placed, we will contact you to confirm your delivery window and any special instructions for drop-off.

How Delivery Works On Site

All deliveries are made by dump truck, with two options:

  • Curbside Delivery — we unload your materials directly onto your driveway or just off the public roadway.
  • On-Property Delivery — on request, and with your permission, we will drive onto your property to unload materials in your yard or another designated area.

Important: If you request on-property delivery, you must agree to waive liability for any potential damage to driveways, lawns, or other surfaces caused by the weight of the loaded dump truck. Our team takes every precaution, but customer acknowledgment is required for this type of service.

The driver deposits the material in a single pile at the drop location you choose. Spreading is not included, and the pile cannot be relocated once it is down, so please choose the drop spot in advance.

Before You Order

  • Make sure the drop location is clear of vehicles, obstructions, and overhead wires. A raised dump bed needs roughly 15 feet of overhead clearance.
  • Confirm your driveway and access route can support a loaded dump truck.
  • Include any specific drop-off instructions at checkout, or tell our team when we confirm your order.
  • If you are unsure about access or placement, contact us — we are glad to help you plan the best delivery option for your property.
