Your order crossed a truckload cap — above 10 yards of mulch or 6 yards of stone, sand, or soil, it becomes two trucks, and every load carries its own delivery fee. The fee is per load, not per yard, so 5 yards of mulch and 10 yards cost the same to deliver — but 11 doesn't, because that eleventh yard needs a second truck.
Load caps at a glance
| Material | Max per load |
|---|---|
| Mulch | 10 cubic yards |
| Stone, gravel, sand, soil | 6 cubic yards |
Just over a cap? Check whether a slightly shallower depth gets you under it — sometimes 6 yards of loam does what 6.5 would. The material calculator makes that easy, and the delivery page explains the full fee model.
