FAQ

What's the difference between screened loam and site loam?

Screened loam is finish-grade soil for lawns and gardens; site loam is construction-grade material for rough grading and large fills. Screening pulls out rocks, roots, and clumps, so screened loam rakes smooth and seeds well. Site loam skips that refinement — the practical choice when you're building up grade, not growing grass directly in it. Contractors order it by the multi-truck load for berms, backfill, and site shaping.

Match the loam to the job

Job Use
New lawn, overseeding, garden beds Loam (Screened)
Rough grading, filling low areas, site work Site Loam
Deep build-ups Site loam base, screened loam top 4–6"

Both deliver up to 6 cubic yards per load. See Loam (Screened) and Site Loam, and size your order with the material calculator.
