When heavy rain keeps rearranging your stone, go bigger and go angular. Crushed pieces lock against each other, and mass matters — the same storm that floats pea stone off a slope barely budges inch-and-a-half granite.
Match the stone to the water

Spring downpours find every weak spot, so set fabric underneath and contain the edges where the grade steepens.
