Give the truck 10 feet of clear width and 13.5 feet of overhead clearance. That covers the mirrors and the raised bed at the dump — the bed lifts straight up, so low branches and wires matter as much as gateposts.
Before delivery day, check for
- Overhead — branches, service wires, and porch overhangs under 13.5 ft
- Width — gates, stone walls, or parked cars pinching below 10 ft
- Surface — a loaded truck weighs 30,000–40,000 lbs; older asphalt can mark
Too tight? Not a dealbreaker — the driver will set the pile curbside as close to the work as is safe, and dispatch can sometimes route a smaller truck for narrow sites. Photos in your checkout notes help. See the delivery page or call or text (617) 645-0987 before ordering.
