FAQ

How much topsoil do I need to fill low spots in my lawn?

Multiply the area by average depth in inches and divide by 324 — a 50 sq ft low spot at 2 inches needs only 0.3 yards, so the 1-yard minimum handles it with soil to spare. Most lawns hide more dips than you think: walk the yard after a March rain and flag every soft or puddled spot before you order, then total them up as one delivery instead of two.

Quick figures

50 sq ft × 2 inches 0.3 yd → order the 1-yard minimum
200 sq ft × 2 inches 1.5 yards
Deep holes or trenches Fill dirt base, topsoil cap on top

Order screened topsoil, and check the math with the material calculator — leftover soil topdresses thin turf nicely.
