FAQ

How many yards of stone do I need for a 50-foot walkway?

Plan on about 2.5 cubic yards for a 50-foot walkway — roughly 1.5 yards of stone dust base plus 1 yard of surface stone. That assumes a standard 3-foot width: 50 ft × 3 ft = 150 sq ft, then the usual formula for each layer.

The walkway math

Layer Depth Yards
#10 Stone Dust base, compacted 3" 150 × 3 ÷ 324 = 1.4 → 1.5
⅜" gray granite surface 2" 150 × 2 ÷ 324 = 0.9 → 1

Note that the two materials ship as separate loads — different products are never mixed in one truck, and each load carries its own delivery fee. Order #10 Stone Dust and ⅜" Gray Granite, or run your own dimensions through the material calculator.
