Most Massachusetts houses need 2–4 cubic yards — typical foundation beds run 200–400 sq ft, and at a 3-inch depth that works out to 2–4 yards. Corner lots, long borders, and full-perimeter plantings usually land at 5–6 yards, which is also the most common order size we deliver. The formula behind all of it: square feet × depth in inches ÷ 324, rounded up to the next half yard.
