FAQ

How many yards is a typical mulch order?

Most homeowners order 3–6 cubic yards, and 5–6 is the classic full-property order. Ten yards — one full truckload — suits large corner lots and bigger properties. For scale, a yard covers about 162 sq ft at a 2-inch refresh, and a 5-yard pile takes up roughly the footprint of a parking space, standing 3–4 feet tall at the end of the driveway.

Where orders land

  • 2–3 yards — front foundation beds
  • 3–6 yards — a typical whole-house refresh
  • 5–6 yards — the standard residential order
  • 10 yards — one full load for big properties

Check your bed footage with the material calculator, then shop bulk mulch by the yard — the minimum order is just 1 yard, delivered loose.
