There is no cutoff — order mulch in May, June, or any month of the year. Mid-April through June is simply the busy season, not a deadline; trucks deliver mulch year-round, and summer mulching actually helps beds hold moisture through July heat and keeps weeds down between waterings.
Late-spring ordering, realistically
- May–June: still prime time — expect windows to book a few days out
- Same-day: order before 10:30 AM, Monday–Saturday
- Saturdays: slots fill by mid-week, so order early in the week
Beds mulched in May still get a full season of weed suppression and moisture control — and by then plants are big enough to mulch around cleanly. Pick a color from the bulk mulch collection — up to 10 yards ships in a single load.
