For a 4' x 8' raised bed with 12" of compost-topsoil blend, you need about 1.2 cubic yards. At ~1,100 lbs/yard:1.2 x 1,100 = 1,320 lbs (about 0.66 tons)
For coverage planning: 1 cubic yard of compost covers about 100 square feet at 3" depth, or 324 square feet at the 1" lawn topdressing depth.
