Decorative gravel and driveway stone from Ottr are screened and washed. Aggregate base materials (Dense Pack ¾" to minus, Crushed Concrete) intentionally include fines because the fines are what lets the material lock together under compaction.

What 'fines' means in delivered material
Even washed and screened materials can have a thin layer of dust at delivery from transit handling. This usually washes away with the first rain. For decorative installs where appearance matters immediately, a quick rinse with a hose after spreading clears it.
