South Coast Rail Officially Launches: What It Means for Our Communities and Customers
Share
After decades of anticipation, the South Coast Rail is officially up and running. Starting Monday, commuters can now travel by train between Boston and the South Coast — including Fall River and New Bedford — a major step forward in connecting Southeastern Massachusetts to the rest of the state.
This long-awaited rail service opens up exciting opportunities for the region, making it easier for residents and workers to access the Greater Boston area while offering more flexibility for businesses and families alike. With eight new stations added and daily trains running on weekdays and weekends, it's a big win for convenience and growth.
At Ottr Mulch, Rock & Soil Delivery, we're especially excited about what this means for our customers and partners. As the region becomes more connected, we expect even greater access to services, smoother logistics, and stronger demand for quality landscaping materials across new markets.
The South Coast Rail also represents a major investment in our infrastructure — one that aligns with our mission of helping build and beautify local communities. Whether you're a contractor managing a large project or a homeowner sprucing up your yard, reliable transportation and delivery access are key.
As Southeastern Mass opens up, we're ready to serve more customers with fast, affordable bulk delivery of mulch, rock, soil, and more — right to your driveway or job site.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue to grow alongside our neighbors in Fall River, New Bedford, and beyond. Got a project in mind? Check out our shop page or reach out — we're always happy to help make your next delivery smooth and stress-free.
